Pat and Amanda met in their hometown of Monroe, Connecticut. When searching for a wedding venue, they were hoping to find something unique and different. When they visited the Lord Thompson Manor in Thompson, CT, they immediately fell in love with it, and I did too! As I walked into the front foyer, I saw pictures of Pat and Amanda, and their family, and felt like I could have been walking into their own home. Every room had a different theme, but the "winter wonderland" theme was carried throughout the whole manor. They were busy preparing the food for the evening when we arrived. This little treat turned out to be my favorite part of dinner- A scoop of delicious lemon sherbet, sitting in the center of each rose, served in between courses as a palette cleanser. I was ecstatic that they included this in our vendor meals!!! While the staff were preparing over at the manor, Amanda and her bridesmaids were getting ready about a mile down the road at The Cottage House. This property also belongs to the manor- and was the perfect spot to relax and get ready on the "day of". Back at the manor, Pat and the guys were enjoying a friendly game of poker. Back at the Cottage House, Amanda's family and bridesmaids looked on as she put on her gorgeous wedding dress. Pat sent over a gift for Amanda... Her sister read Pat's card aloud so everyone could hear what he wrote. When we heard her describe the meaning behind her gift, everyone was tearing up! Amanda's "Something Blue" was engraved with her wedding date- 12.15.12 After winning the poker game, it was time for Pat to start getting ready over at the Manor. This is the last shot I captured of Amanda before she left for their "first look". Her face was beaming with excitement about seeing Pat and starting the wedding festivities! He was waiting at the top of aisle, while the family and wedding party peeped their heads through the doors that opened into the foyer. It was so neat that they got to see the first look. "LOVE" The wedding party braved the cold to take their formal pictures in front of the manor. As the day turned to evening, the candles were lit, and guests began arriving for the ceremony. This was Pat and Amanda's sweetheart table all set up for dinner... Pat and Amanda to say "I do" and exchange rings. I'm happy to introduce to you........ for the first time..... Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Fitzmorris!!!!! Immediately following the ceremony, Amanda's sister and Pat's Best Man gave their toasts. Pat and Amanda admiring their new wedding bands during dinner :) 'It's a Beautiful Day' was played as they danced into the ballroom for their introductions and first dance. Amanda and her Dad danced to "Butterly Kisses" The night ended with more dancing and a heartwarming speech from Amanda's Dad. Many thanks to these great vendors and a wonderful venue...
